Consultation

Our work begins by meeting clients on site and lasts about an hour. This time is a chance to explore your needs and the inherent potential of the site. Additional products may be developed from this consult and can include management plans, biddable drawings, or timelines for action that a client can execute themselves. Let our experience provide you with the information you need to move forward on a project.

Site design

Our installations weave native plant communities with the built environment — human spaces layered in nature. Site design begins with an analysis of land uses and existing conditions and identifies landscape problems and potentials.

Our designs are comprehensive and address the fundamentals: vegetation quality, grading and drainage and well-thought hardscape installations which create value through it's durability and pleasure of use. Decks, walks, pergolas, trails, perennial plant beds, shrub masses, and trees — interaction with these details inform the quality of human experience on any site.

Design workshops

A design workshop is an opportunity for designer and client to work together to brainstorm potential design solutions. These typically take about two hours and involve quick sketches on a scaled plan. While not polished, these drawings give clients a sense of what’s possible in a given space.

Restoration management plans

We develop management plans that guide change over time. Oak savannas, wetlands and prairies aren’t installed in a day — each needs care in a given season to give you the result you want. Our management plans detail the ecology of a site, identify the goals toward which we are working, and identify management needed to achieve those goals.
