Most Michigan plant communities are fire adapted — they need occasional fire in order to maintain the structure and components of their ecosystem. We have 15 years experience reintroducing fire in residential landscapes. Our burns are typically from a few hundred square feet up to dozens of acres, and always done according to a prescription approved by local fire authorities.
From the smallest seed to the largest trees, we install the living components of a landscape. We love massing wildflowers and shrubs.
We are licensed and insured to use a variety of methods to control exotic invasive species. Woody shrubs and phragmities are the most common plants we treat. We use other management techniques (like prescribed fire and silvicultural methods) to use as little herbicide as necessary for an effective outcome.
